Scoring teacher licensure tests can help scorers maintain Massachusetts teaching licenses by allowing them to earn Professional Development Points (PDPs). If a scorer participates in ten or more hours of scoring (including training hours), a certificate may be issued for PDPs equal to the number of hours worked. If a scorer participates in fewer than ten hours of scoring, a certificate may be issued indicating the number of hours worked. This certificate can be submitted to the scorer's school district office. PDPs will be issued at the district office's discretion. Requests for PDP certificates and Hours Worked certificates must be made by the scorer after each scoring session.
